Job Description:

The Environmental Health and Safety intern will provide professional support to the Health and Safety Coordinator. The Health and Safety intern will assist the Health and Safety team with projects such as:

  • Assisting with Hearing conservation monitoring
  • Assisting with Respiratory inspections and monitoring
  • Assisting with accident and incident investigations
  • Assisting with the preparation of training materials
  • Organizing and scheduling meetings
  • Assisting with the usage of IH Equipment
  • Responding to Safety Service Request
  • Inventory and creation of standardized signs to be posted on mechanical room doors for Hearing Conservation as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Read and interpret regulatory standards.
  • Detail Oriented
  • Advance knowledge of and skills in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to lift to 20lbs.
  • Able to communicate clearly and accurately in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently and accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Work Hours:

  • Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00pm; Must be able to work at least 2-hour minimum per day up to 15 hours per week.

Salary:

  • $10/hr.
