Welcome Back Niners!

The semester is starting soon and what better way to welcome everyone back to campus than with our annual Welcome Back Niners event! Our event will be over three days at various locations. Come by our table and pick up some great new swag and some campus safety information! Check out the dates, time, and location, and some quick safety tips below!

With the arrival of the new and returning Charlotte family, let’s remember to stay Safe! Here are some residence hall safety tips:

• Never leave your dorm room unlocked
• Always carry your ID card
• Know your residence hall fire evacuation policy
• Download the LiveSafe app
• Never use candles
• Never tamper with or remove the batteries from the smoke detector 
• When the fire alarm sounds, get out of the building quickly and stay out.  Spending time retrieving personal items increases your chances of being trapped in the building.  Leave everything and go.
• Stay in the kitchen when cooking
• Review the residence handbook for approved items in your room
• Clean the dryer lint trap before and after each use.
