National Safety Month
National Safety Month is here! Environmental Health and Safety takes pride in ensuring the safety of our campus community. This month EHS is promoting workplace and event safety. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to utilize the services offered by our office to provide a safe work environment. Our services include, but are not limited to, Building Emergency Evacuation Plans, Ergonomic Assessments, Indoor Air Quality, Event Safety, and Silp, Trip, and Fall awareness, along with a variety of online safety training topics. Quick Tips:
- Slips, Trips, and Fall Prevention: Do not stand or climb on desk, chair, stool, or other unstable surface to reach an object.
- Back Injury Prevention: Avoid lifting above shoulder height. Use a ladder or step stool to move objects at these heights.
- Muscle Injury Prevention: Give hands and wrists time to recover after forceful movements.
