When are fire drills required?
Per the North Carolina Fire Code, fire drills are required on UNC Charlotte campus using the following table below:

| Group B (Educational/Business) | Annually | Barnard, McEniry |
| Group E (Adult/Child Care) | Monthly | None |
| Group F (Factory Industrial) | Annually | Regional Utility Plant (RUP 1) |
| Group R-2 (Residence Halls) | Four Annually | Witherspoon Wallis |
