Fire & Life Safety
The Fire & Life Safety team administers compliance programs that increase the campus community’s awareness of fire and life safety. The team specifically provides consultative and enforcement services to ensure institutional compliance with the North Carolina Fire Code (NCFC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
What’s New
- Aerial Lift (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) written program and additional resources have been revised and published to the EHS website.
- Charlotte Fire Department Building Pre-Planning scheduled for select campus buildings to be completed by December 2025.
- Added the Pyrotechnic Shoot – Job Safety Briefing Form to the Programs and Forms Resource Page for Football Game Pyrotechnics.
