how ehs supports you

You don’t have to do this alone. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) office provides the tools, guidelines, and training you need to manage your team effectively and maintain a secure workplace.

  • Connect:  Submit a safety service request for an EHS consultation.  The consultation will provide an opportunity to meet your EHS representative, discuss safety metrics, and OSHA compliance requirements for your department.
  • Planning:  Access the Supervisor Safety Checklist to assist you with integrating safety into your department operations.
  • Training:  Log in to the Learning and Development Portal to complete your required and recommended safety training.  Additionally, determine if direct report employees have completed all required training by reviewing the dashboard or contacting your department business officer.
  • New Hire Safety Checklist:  Complete the 15-minute New Hire Safety Checklist to onboard new employees.
  • Plan for Emergencies: Take a moment to identify the nearest fire alarm pull station, fire extinguisher, emergency exits, and posted warning signage.  Review your Building Emergency Evacuation Plan and adhere to emergency notifications.
  • Report Hazards/Request Assistance: See a Hazard – Report a Hazard? Submit a Safety Hazard Report or Request EHS consultative assistance.
